Outstanding primary school
I sent my daughter here and she was cared for so well in Nursery that she still remembers the teacher and teaching assistant and talks about them regularly a couple of years on. Her teacher was caring, warm, attentive, and personable. I also absolutely loved her Reception teachers. Every day my daughter knew a new song/dance, and was reading within the space of just a few months. I did have an issue about one aspect in Nursery but it was handled perfectly - as many meetings as I wanted with the school, all my communication was responded to, and action taken. The result was close to what I hoped for, but above all it was an excellent effort in which I felt heard as a parent. The teachers are all native English speakers which is a massive plus. There is indeed a family vibe, overall the teachers, parents and kids seem to be in good spirits. The children are not hidden away from visitors either, which is a good sign. I love that it's a co-operative too - you want the teachers taking care of your kids to also be well looked after as employees, and not unhappy and disgruntled. The only criticism I might have is that the children attending, at least for some classes, are mostly Spanish meaning that the kids don't practice their English enough in break times. Not a major issue for me, but worth pointing out for this who seek a more international environment.
